We have always said Maid was the bride's maid, never the bride because she went reserve so often. Maid is a heavy milker and conditioning has always been a problem. She won her restricted leg as a yearling and one milking leg as a two year old and finished as a three year old.

Royal has the best body for an Oberhasli that we have ever seen.We took her to the Nationals in Indianapolis in 2006 where she placed 8th in the four year old class.

Shannon completed her championship in 2005 going undefeated. She has one of the best udders we have ever had on an Oberhasli. In her last show (Great Frederick Fair 9/17/05) she took Grand Champion and Best of breed beating some of the best does on the East Coast. My guess in between senior and juniors there were close to 60 Oberhasli entered. We took her to the Nationals in Indianapolis in 2006 where she placed 4th in the three year old class.

Shawna took Oberhasli Junior Grand Champion and Junior Best-In-Show at the Frederick Fair in 2004 over a total of 238 entries. She was chosen 2004 All American dry yearling. In 2005 shows she completed her championship.

Penelope is a classic beauty with dairy lines She improved as the summer went but family difficulties cut our show season short. In 2006 she took Reserve at the MDGA show behind Tiara. Due to her age we have recently retired her.

At the first two shows of 2005 Sheena placed third behind Shannon and Shawna. In 2006 at the SDGA show in May she took Grand to get her second leg. At her first show in 2007 Sheena went Grand making four Champions out of Time.

Bodecia is listed here because we feel she was a Champion and was the foundation doe of our Oberhasli herd. She was the second doe we purchased when we began to raise Oberhasli and all of her daughters have been show winners. We have always been grateful to Lib Zibreske (Keepytrst) for selling Bodecia to us. She went Grand Champion too many times to count but unfortunately never made her championship permanent because of the shortage of official shows in the early 90's. She was a deep bodied doe and a tremendous milker, verified by the fact that she went 9th in an all-breed milking contest at the Maryland State Fair the last year our daughter showed there. Eliza, and Honour, are out of Boadecia.

  Eliza was only shown in 1995. She was never beaten that year after which we retired her so we could campaign some others. She is a beautiful example of an Oberhasli, a large frame, dairy type doe with a large spring of rib. Justin, and Hannah are just two of her outstanding offspring from the previous years. Eliza was the best Oberhasli doe, in her prime, we ever have shown, and she consistently throws these traits in her offspring.

  At the 1997 ADGA Nationals she was third place, two year old milker, as a first freshener!!!! Honour finished her championship in her first show in 1998, then following our tradition, was retired from showing. She was the largest Ober that we owned, and is a beautiful example of an Oberhasli.

     Jolene, (a daughter of Hannah), is a permanent champion, while Kaleih, her grandaughter, who was first in her class at the 1997 Nationals,   now is a permanent champion. Hannah placed 8^th, at the 97 Nationals, in a very large two year old class. She had that classy long legged look that seems hard to get in an Oberhasli.

Jolene did not make it through a cesarean delivery. At the 1997 ADGA Nationals she placed third as a yearling milker. She was a large framed doe with excellent confirmation, a nice mammary, showing a lot of promise for future years. Both of her daughters: Blue Ridge Kelsey and Blue Ridge Lisa are permanent champions. Her only other daughter; Portia went Junior Champion and then Best in Show in her only outing.

Michelle came down with clostridium and died before we were able to save her early in the year. Michelle was a dark red heavy milker who finished her championship in the first show of 2002. Although a lovely dry yearling (restricted leg) and beautiful two year old (one milking leg), she really blossomed as a three year old second freshener.

Nobliss is a gorgeous doe with a beautiful udder. We lost Nobliss after a long and expensive battle to save her, She was to be my star at 2004 Nationals, alas that was not to happen as she had to be put down due to an intestinal blockage.

Kalieh had a heart attack and died before she could kid this year. One of our stars at the 97 Nationals. We were very pleased when she won first place Intermediate kid. She was a very impressive kid and she still has the nicest front end and topline in our herd. Her bloodlines trace back to some superior stock.
